I just got a message from my friend Chris [Life Cried] telling me that his record label is sending me a copy of his new album "Banished Psalms". Chris and I collaborated on a Life Cried track together called "Bound In Hate" which ended up on the new record. Most of the song was written by the time he sent it over to me. I added a few synth lines and a bunch of mechanical sampler riffs throughout the track then, he added vocals. It was pretty fun as I don't usually work with other bands much.

You can check out Life Cried Here: www.myspace.com/lifecried

This actually inspired me to work with a few guest musicians on the new Psyclon Nine album. As I mentioned before I had my friend Brandan who is the singer of Bleeding Through do some vocals on a couple tracks. I even got the chance to have Gary Zon [Dismantled], Jason Miller [Godhead / Co-Producer on We the Fallen], Jamison Boaz [Epsilon Zero / Engineer + Co-Producer on We the Fallen] and Johan Van Roy [Suicide Commando] do backing vocals on the intro to the album. Lisa offered her services as a classically trained pianist so we got to work on a track together as well.

Working with some of these musicians sparked new inspiration for me so, you'll be seeing me working on other projects from time to time. I'm already starting work on a new side project with Brandan [Bleeding Through]. The plan is to write the heaviest, "pure industrial" album of all time. Should be a lot of fun. Lisa has been writing some solo stuff that she's planning on bringing to life as well. From what I've already heard I think it will be some amazing music. She's one of the more brilliant musicians that I've ever had the chance to work with so I've been pretty excited to work with her on her new project. Johan [Suicide Commando] and I have been talking about doing some collaborations in the near future as well. At the very least I see remixing on the horizon...

In other news...

The album is DONE. I sent the tracks to Corrosive Audio for mastering a few days ago which means that I'll be receiving the mastered album any day now and shipping it off to the labels so they can work whatever magick they work in order to make these discs appear in stores.

Rotny already posted a little blog about Psyclon Nine being signed over to ESP guitars for an exclusive endorsement so I'm sure you've already heard. The people over at ESP have been really amazing. I think they were a little thrown on how to categorize Psyclon Nine as far as genre and who to group us with for promotion. Eventually they decided that we fit in with the Black Metal ESP bands [Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Behemoth] and that they would pair us up with those guys for their upcoming promotional burst.

Anyhow,

I'm currently directing album art with my graphic designer [Bryce Edsall] trying to get this fucking booklet [which has been the bane of our existence lately] finished. All the while I've been trying to catch up with emails that I've been ignoring over the last 3 months or so while I've been busy in the studio.

And...

Working on a follow up to We the Fallen...

I've been on a writing streak over the past few weeks so I want to utilize the momentum built up from the studio to work on the next Psyclon Nine project[s].

Keep your eyes peeled...

Aneurhythm Inc. is well under way. We're already beginning to book our first clients and more messages are pouring in. We launched a very basic Myspace page [on my top friends] and will be adding more information very soon. Until then, if you have a band who is in need of production... Don't be shy... Go ahead and send us a message. We will be more than happy to check out your music and try to work something out with you.

Until next time,

We're very excited to announce our partnership with ESP guitars.
Nero and I just returned from the ESP offices here in Hollywood. Everyone was super cool and we're proud to represent ESP in an exclusive endorsement.
Thanks to Allen and Mark from ESP and to Jason Miller as well.

Goto espguitars.com / myspace.com/espcustomguitars and check out their '09 line of guitars and basses.

Again, smoke break at Central Command. Jamison is tweaking the balance between lead ad backing vocals on "HeartWerm" while Jason is sending off emails on his laptop. Just added a few new sounds to "Under the Judas Tree" which finally got checked off the finished list. Only two more tracks to go today and we're finally done. Tonight we're all bringing home the finished album, listening to it in our own environments and doing a last check to see if there are anymore tweaks we need to make before sending the album off for mastering tomorrow evening.

Ben Moody's [Evanescence] new band is rehearsing in the rehearsal spot downstairs. Apparently he just decided to name his new band "the Fallen". I suppose nobody told him that Psyclon Nine is the only "Fallen" out there and that his band will forever be in our shadow... Poor Ben.

In other news. Jamison and I decided to start a new music production company that we've named "Aneurhythm Inc." After working on "We the Fallen" together we realized that he and I make a great producer and that we want to continue working together on other music projects. Starting within the next week or so we're planning on doing sound design and mixing for the new Helltrash EP that Vlixx [Helltrash / Psyclon Nine] plans on releasing soon. Keep an eye out for that. We will be launching a website for Aneurythym Inc. soon as well as soon as We the Fallen is in the clear. In the meanwhile, we WILL be accepting submissions from all bands / composers looking for production work / sound design so, feel free to contact me here on Myspace for details on what we will be offering as far as gear / ability and pricing. Again, more details on Aneurhythym Inc. will be posted soon including examples of our work and details on our facilities [combining Blacklight Producions [Jamison's studio], the Heretic Gate [my studio] as well as Central Command studios [Jason's studio]]. Jason Miller will also be involved on a case to case basis depending on what the individual project calls for.

Anyhow,

Time for me to get back into the studio.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

[Bellum]
