At Central Command taking a quick smoke break while Jamison does final
mixing / finishing touches on "Under the Judas Tree". Jason is in the
rehearsal space with the rest of Godhead gearing up for a show they're
playing at the upcoming bondage ball so I've got a few minutes to
myself.
Been
pulling long shifts over the last week trying to make the deadline for
this album. Went 14 hours with Jamison a few days ago re-tracking
guitar and vocals on a few songs. I ended up writing a few new songs at
the last minute and ditching a few that didn't live up to my revised
set of standards for the album. In the end everything worked out very
well. The album is turning out to be leaps and bounds better than I
thought it would be.
I wrote a new song
called "Blood Work" a few days ago after staying up for 2 days. It's
the heaviest song I've ever written and the lyrics are more straight
forward than anything I've done in the past. It works very well for the
album and I can already tell that it's going to be really fucking fun
to play live.

the Godhead guys are running around behind me being silly, loud and
obnoxious and I have to go back in the vocal booth and re-track some
backing vocals on Judas Tree...
